How does our Female Pelvis influence our Work?

I know mine has ………

Lots of women get to a certain point in their careers or running their own businesses and don’t go any further. I’ve experienced this myself and see it so often with women around me and my clients.

Why is this?

For some it’s burnout, menopausal shifts, collapse or depression.
Some choose to downshift their career as it’s just too much to maintain with the rest of their lives. Probably not feeling much like a choice at the time.
For others its a case of ‘I can’t take it anymore, can’t keep pushing’.

Through no fault of their own - remember we live within a patriarchal capitalist linear world that doesn’t accommodate female cyclical bodies in any way. It’s systemic.

Repeat after me - I am not the problem, its the effing patriarchy!

My belief is that this happens through a lack of connection and relationship to our pelvises.

That might sound a bit woo woo but hear me out. 🪄

The female pelvis is your centre of gravity and the intersection between:

  • The top and bottom halves of the body.

  • Your nervous system and vestibular system

  • Stabiliser of hips and lower back

  • Your reproductive organs, elimination organs and part of the digestive organs

  • Your sexual function and connection to pleasure and joy

Your centre of potent power - think matriarchal rather than patriarchal 😏

Governs your capacity to set and maintain boundaries, to be heard and to stand your ground.

The seat of your creativity.

The female pelvis is the most primal part of yourself, your root, your essence, and connects you to a sense of belonging and groundedness

At the same time I also want to acknowledge that our pelvises also have potential to be places of immense pain, disconnect and shame for many. This certainly has been my story.

Reconnecting and healing the pelvis is a powerful way that women become rock steady and fully plugged into their energy, vitality and power in a non-patriachal way. And what a difference that makes to our lives, the work we do and our creativity!

Here’s my Pelvic Manifesto

I believe that to create seismic change within society and the institutions that govern, such as medicine, education, law, politics, legislation, finance and commerce, we need women within those settings who can influence and create that change. I’m sure we can all agree on this, it’s a no-brainer.

Women who are fully in their feminine power, connected to their root, rock steady, holding their ground.

They don’t need to emulate the patriarchal masculine linear forms of power, striving or pushing because they know their own and are coming from their matriarchal power - steady, sensual, spiral, relational and sustainable. Their presence in itself creates influence and change.

This is my work and my passion.

Through pelvic awareness, pelvic mapping, breathwork, visualisation, care and connection and gentle healing practices we can change the world. Yes this might sound bonkers but I do really believe this.

Please join me on this journey and help me get this work out into the world

I’m available for community and corporate talks and workshops, so if you think your community or company would benefit from this, get in touch.

If you can connect me to those in those institutions I named above connect me up!
Lets create change together.

Warmly,

Jane
